To strengthen port facility security and further advance the construction of a safe port, ensuring the safety of port production in accordance with the "Port Facility Security Rules of the People's Republic of China", on October 12, the Port Management Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation, the Port and Shipping Management Division and Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Detachment of the Taizhou City Transportation Bureau, along with industry experts, conducted an inspection of our company's port facility security performance and security certification review. Sun Guangguan, the Safety Director, along with port facility security personnel, facilitated the inspection.
Wharf Inspection
The inspection team conducted a thorough examination of the port facilities at the wharf, scrutinizing the adherence to security obligations for the open wharf port facilities.
Port Facility Security Training and Assessment
The expert group carried out a training assessment and critique at the wharf entrance. The training scenario was based on a suspect placing a suspicious explosive package at the wharf in an attempt to compromise the facility's integrity. Upon the detection of the suspicious package, the on-duty personnel immediately reported to the port facility security manager, who triggered the suspicious package handling procedure training plan, requested an elevation of the port facility security level to tier two from the port authorities, and took proactive and emergency response measures in accordance with the tier two status. A series of security measures including on-site control, remote monitoring, search and arrest, and personnel management were executed, successfully preventing the incident from escalating.
Review Meeting
At the review meeting, the committee listened to the company's port facility security assessment report and the formulation of the security plan. In accordance with the relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards such as the "Rules for the Security of Port Facilities of the People's Republic of China" and the "Annual Check and Evaluation Measures for the Performance of Port Facility Security", they conducted a dynamic verification of our company's port facility security regulations, training drills, security measures, and procedural implementation. This was carried out through on-site inspections and document reviews and included a live examination of the performance and commitment of the port facility security manager and related security staff. After thorough discussions, review opinions were formed, and suggestions for improvement were made regarding any weaknesses found. The committee acknowledged our company's port facility security efforts since the 2018 certification renewal and agreed that the assessment report and plan creation met the regulatory requirements, unanimously granting approval.
Next, the company will take this opportunity to earnestly implement the improvement suggestions made by the review committee, continuously perfect the port facility security regulations, enhance specialized training and drills, increase financial investment in port facility security, and strengthen the practical level of security training. This will ensure the continuous and effective implementation of security compliance work, creating a safe and stable port environment for the company's high-quality development.
