Chemical Distribution Institute - Terminal (short for CDI-T) is the world's highest standard chemical warehousing industry institute. The certification of CDI-T focuses on docks and tank. And the inspection covers fire safety, storage and transportation technology, administration and other aspects with challenging requirement for expertise. This certification has a high status in the international chemical industry and is also the highest standard in the liquid storage industry.

Inspection Preparation

In order to better promote the brand reputation and professional image and improve the competitiveness of Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage in the international chemical warehousing industry, the company actively carries out the preparation for CDI-T on-site inspection. Company leaders attached great importance to the inspection after the launching in June, and all departments worked hard for the common target in the past 4 months. In October, the company also invited experts for CDI-T pre-inspection training.

Inspection Process

The company received a three-day CDI-T on-site inspection from November 20 to 22. At the first meeting, Sun Chengli who is the general manager of the company pointed out that CDI-T certification is an important channel for the company to enrich the management connotation, improve technical level, and leap forward in development. As an important task at current stage, the certification is more practical with stricter standards and more detailed demands. At first, the company values the on-site inspection opportunity, which would point out company's defects and the room for improvement. Moreover, the company would further improve safety systemic management, equipment safety, operation standardization, and other perspectives in the future works based on this inspection. Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage would enhance self-inspection and self-correction to lay a solid foundation for a professional warehouse company.  

During the inspection, CDI-T inspectors from Singapore carefully check more than 2,100 questions referring to the latest version of CDI-T questionnaire, including management issues such as safety, environmental protection and occupational health, as well as technical issues such as docks and storage tanks. By means of on-site observation, inquiries and records checking, the inspectors comprehensively evaluate and verify the internal management work of the company. Guided by relevant person in charge, they carefully inspected various on-site areas such as departure platform, storage tanks, central control room, dock and fire emergency equipment warehouse. In the end, Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage successfully passed the CDI-T on-site inspection.

Inspection Result

Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage successfully passed the on-site inspection of CDI-T. This certification marks that the company becomes a member of the Institute and shows the improvement of the company's HSE management. Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage would promote more requirements featuring "higher standards, stricter management, and more influential brand images" for itself under the guidance of international criterion.
