“With the southern scenery at its best time, we meet again in the late spring”. From 14th to 15th April in 2021, Propylene Oxide Upstream and Downstream Market Exchange Conference, which was organized by CHEM365 and sponsored by Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage, was successfully held in Wuxi city in Jiangsu province. This conference invited more than 180 experts and specialists in the industry from Sumitomo Chemical, Lyondellbasell, Itochu, Samsung, Jiahua Chem, Hongbaoli, Jurong Ningwu New Chemical, KPX chemical, and other companies.

General manager of Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage Sun Chengli firstly expressed welcome and gratitude to participants. As the major company undertaking the storage of propylene oxide in eastern China, Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage and propylene oxide customers raised up in the test of time and went through challenges from complex and changeable environment at home and abroad, which gave birth to the cooperation model widely accepted by customers with its own characteristics. Guided by the principle of high-quality service and win-win results, the company expanded development path and braved to innovate. On the foundation of propylene oxide industry demands and geographical advantages on the Yangtze River costal areas, the company never stopped the exploration of industrial standards, and yielded remarkable results in storage hardware and software security, sustainable environmentally-friendly, and other projects. During the conference, participants discussed around heated topics of the industry, including macro-economy analysis and outlook, China’s alkene markets in the progress of integrated refining and pluralistic refining, trend of propylene and oxide domestic and international markets, as well as the toil and surge of China’s polyether polyol industry. General manager Sun made a lecture themed by “Gather Strength and Share Resources—Promote Safe, Effective, and Sustainable Development of Chemical Storage Industry”. She firstly introduced the development of two companies of the group on the north and the south (Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage and Litian P&C Terminal). Next, she analyzed the influences of state council’s three-year campaign of the chemical storage industry and the serious environment with rigid standards and requirements and probed in how should companies in this industry adjust to challenges and seek breakthroughs from changes.  

2021 is the start of the 14th five-year-plan and is also the 100th anniversary of the founding of CPC. Based on this conference, the company would seize new opportunities, build new consensus, draw new blueprints, and achieve new development with the trend of the era.
