On the evening of 26th in August, Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage party branch organized law popularization activity with Changhang police station and Nanjing Maritime Court of PRC. This activity would promote legal education, carry forward the socialist spirit of rule of law, further cultivate the awareness of law of employees, and create a working atmosphere of learning, knowing, abiding by and using the law. Gong Bin, instructor of Changhang Police Station, Qian Fei, judge of Nanjing Maritime Court of PRC, and party members of the company participated in the activity.
Police officer Chen reminded attendees to “learn, understand, abide by, and apply” legal knowledge. He shared real cases of online loan and fraud, “brushing” fictitious sales and rebate fraud, and gambling as well as the harms of these illegal activities. Police officer Chen not only reminded employees to avoid being deceived, and called on everyone to take active actions to prevent and crack down on these frauds. Strengthening the awareness of prevention and improving capabilities to recognize frauds were very important. If illegal fraud occurred, employees should report to government departments in time, which could safeguard social stability and harmony and protect our own property and life safety.
Qian Fei from Nanjing Maritime Court introduced the meanings, history, application scope, and cases of Civil Code, aiming to help employees understand the background, significance, and connotations of Civil Code. Employees would keep learning the laws and regulations and apply to daily life. They may also actively cultivate the awareness to learn, understand, abide by, and apply legal knowledge and improve their capabilities to protect their legal rights and solve conflicts and disputes with Civil Code, which thus forged sound legal environment to preserve society stability and harmony.
Instructor Gong Bin supplemented three points. First, being brave and righteous was necessary, but being wise and tactful would be more important. Second, stay away from online fraud and refuse online gambling, especially during the epidemic. Gathering people for gambling was strictly forbidden and the only result would be detention once discovered. Third, drunk driving was strictly prohibited. Drive without drinking, and never drive after drinking. Instructor Gong hoped everyone could behave well and abide by the law. Cherish ourselves, cherish families and cherish this hard-won good life.
Finally, Sun Chengli expressed warm welcome once again to the instructor Gong Bin and other guests for the excellent activity. The lecture made in this activity covered food, clothing, housing transportation and all perspectives of daily life. It was a practical and useful class. The whole company should strengthen the study of civil code and other related legal knowledge, and escort a better life in the new era.
