On May 12th, the Party Branch of JOCPCS held a lecture to study President Xi’s speech at the opening ceremony of the seminar which requests the main leading cadres at the provincial and ministerial levels to adhere to bottom-line thinking and focus on preventing and resolving major risks. The class was presided over by Sun Chengli, Party Branch Secretary and General Manager.
Sun Chengli gave a vivid micro lecture to all party members, with the theme of "enhancing crisis awareness, preventing and resolving risks and challenges" on the basis of the current situation of epidemic prevention and control, safety production, business development, and party building work of JOCPCS. This lecture was divided into parts:
1. Ensuring Party absolute leadership over national security,
2. adhering to bottom-line thinking and focusing on preventing and resolving major risks,
3. carrying forward the spirit of struggle and enhancing related skills.
The lesson also emphasized that party members should enhance their political consciousness, deeply understand the essence of President Xi’s important discourse on preventing and resolving major risks, establish a solid bottom-line thinking, effectively enhance awareness of the crisis, continuously improve political ability and responsibility, and unite together to truly integrate party building work with company production and operation. And the following requirements were put forward for party members:
Firstly, adhering to the leadership of the Party and taking the "Two Upholds" as the fundamental guarantee for preventing risks and challenges.
Secondly, follow correct political orientation, deepen theoretical armed forces, and strengthen political supervision.
Thirdly, do not be stubborn rather and form clear objects and innovative working methods. Dealing well with every major risk and challenge, and effectively carrying out various tasks of reform, development, and stability.
Fourthly, regardless of the position they hold, leading group members must have the courage to take on and overcome difficulties, both as commanders and combatants, and cultivate and maintain a tenacious fighting spirit, will, and excellent skills
A short one-hour lecture has greatly benefited party members. It has made them deeply aware of the importance of adhering to bottom-line thinking, being vigilant in times of peace, as well as preventing and resolving major risks in the important stage of reform and development. After this lesson, we have realized that “we must always be more mindful of potential problems both from a long term and short term”
