On the afternoon of June 30th, in the scorching summer, in order to further carry out the "Safety Production Month", test and evaluate the emergency response training of the "Firefighting+N Team", and effectively improve the emergency response ability of all personnel, JOCPCS held the 2022 "Firefighting+N Team" emergency response competition, with 36 participants from 6 production teams competing fiercely.
Wang Li, Deputy Director of the Enterprise Service Center in the Logistics Industrial Park, the representatives of the Yong'an Fire Brigade, the company team, and all employees participated in this event.
Introduction
Considering the high temperatures in summer and the need for emergency response and focusing on the assessment of the disposal of leakage from the universal joint of the epoxy propane pipeline on the loading platform, this competition involves leakage alarm, on-site investigation, information reporting, cutting off the source of leakage, and disposal of leakage materials, etc. The referees have formulated rules for competition and detailed evaluation and scoring rules for each part. The purpose of this competition is to promote training and learning through competitions, further solidify practical skills, promote deep, detailed, and practical training for all personnel, and steadily improve the quality of all personnel's fire emergency capabilities. This competition will promote learning skills, firefighting competitions, and safety competitions.
With the issuance of the "start" command for the competition, the participating team members are not willing to fall behind according to the competition procedure with standard movements and agile reactions. In the competition, they quickly and coherently complete a series of movements in the shortest possible time. Everyone demonstrated their firefighting skills during their daily training to the fullest. The exciting competition scenes won cheers from the administrative cheer-leading team.
Group 1 of the Storage and Transportation Department (Zhou Wenjun team) won the first prize for the result of 3 minutes and 40 seconds, Group 4 of the Storage and Transportation Department (Xiao Yuancai team) and Group 1 of the Technical Center (Wang Wei team) won the second prize, and Group 2 and 3 of the Storage and Transportation Department (Luanzhen and Sun Yuban team), and Group 1 of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department (Gu Ling team) won the third prize.
Deputy Director Wang Li of the Enterprise Service Center in the Park highly praised the emergency response competition. He said that he felt very excited by observing the competition, and the training mode of "competition instead of practice" was innovative. He added, under the leadership team’s guidance, professional comments from judges and the skilled employees reflected their solid, pragmatic, and rigorous daily work; At present, there is a strong atmosphere of catching up with and surpassing others. Everyone has competition, cooperation, and improvement, and work together to focus on safety and prioritize it as our primary productivity. We are satisfied and hope that everyone can continue to maintain the status and continue to make progress!
Finally, General Manager Sun Chengli gave a summary of the training activities. She pointed out that currently, we make full use of all gaps such as avoiding high temperatures to focus on safety, drills, and training, in order to further promote deep, detailed, and practical safety production. Fire prevention is an essential part of our safety production and also our last line of defense. Sun also proposed four requirements:
1. All front-line production employees must have knowledge and ability in emergency skills, continuously improve various skills, and thereby enhance team cohesion and combat effectiveness.
2. Senior or junior employees, team leaders, and dispatchers can identify risks, and constantly enhance their organizational ability, adaptability, and ability to use firefighting equipment. At critical moments, they should be able to take necessary measures to quickly, effectively, and timely form a combat-effective rescue team.
3. By training through competitions, each of us must identify gaps, learn skills and true knowledge, increase confidence, strengthen abilities, and overcome weaknesses with a targeted approach.
4. Every employee should be prepared for danger in times of peace, always keeping in mind the concept of "preventing problems before they occur". They should eliminate hidden dangers in the early stages, and effectively guard the safety defense line of JOCPCS.
This activity enables the better foundation of fire prevention knowledge and emergency response skills among employees; and more importantly, it will enable employees to have a deeper understanding of the fire prevention policy of "prevention first, combining prevention and solving". For a company, having a strong sense of emergency rescue among employees is undoubtedly an intangible asset. Timely detection of safety risks and hidden dangers and rapid adoption of effective measures to eliminate risks and hidden dangers in the bud help to create high-quality development got JOCPCS.
